Geeking Out Over iPhone OS 3.0

iphone_34
In just a few short days, Apple will preview its new iPhone 3.0 software.  While I truly am awaiting the actually next generation iPhone, I am hopeful that the new software release addresses some of the current features that the iPhone lacks and every other mobile phone seems to have.  Don’t get me wrong, this phone has truly changed my life and the lives of many gadget nerds like my husband and I. For example, we’re more likely to get out into the world and “mingle” since we can fulfill our internet craving at any time, day or location.  Sad, I know, but we base hotel reservations on wi-fi ability and the proximity to the nearest Apple store.

PC Mag has summed up my entire wishlist here.

I don’t think that the AT&T contract part is going to go away considering there is a 5 year agreement and Apple is only 2 years into the contract.  I do dream of a better camera on the next generation iPhone, the ability to use the iPhone as a modem, and the software features listed in PC Mag.  I’d also like to be able to use it to change traffic signals, transport myself to another place, and to make myself invisible.  Apple must get on that.
